Circle with Staff Appreciation Dates - May 3 - May 8 - inside

Monday, May 3rd- Flood SCES Staff email: send an email to a staff member (or more than one!) about your favorite memory from this year or a note of thanks and appreciation.

Tuesday, May 4th- PTA provided staff lunch.

Wednesday, May 5th- Send Love to Our Specials Teachers: take a photo doing art, music, athletics and email it to SCES specials teachers.

Thursday, May 6th- Restock the Staff Lounge: Help us restock the staff lounge with some delicious treats. Drop off at the car circle Thursday morning 9 AM. There will be a cart in front of the building. Sign up to indicate what you'll bring here:

Friday, May 7th- Thanks a bunch- bring in a flower (store-bought or from your garden) for your teacher or draw a flower and send a virtual bouquet.

Next Monday, on March 15, some of you will be going to the Sligo Creek school building and classrooms (Hi, Roomies!) and some of you will stay at home and attend school on Zoom (Hi, Zoomies!)

Update on the PTA's involvement in SCES’s return to in-person learning. Questions have been flowing in about what in-person learning will look like, what safety measures are in place, and generally a need for more information. To that end, here's what we've done and what we know.

The SCES PTA is gathering donations to support students and families in our SCES community during this challenging year. We are accepting purchases on an Amazon wish list and direct donations to the PTA.

The Montgomery County Board of Education has tentatively approved Montgomery County Public Schools’ (MCPS’) framework for the phased return of students to in-person learning beginning January 2021. A survey is now open for parents to indicate if they want their child to remain exclusively in a virtual learning environment or engage in a combination of in-person and virtual instruction during the second semester.
