The PTA Needs You!
Many PTA Board positions are open for next year. Executive board positions have term limits, so new members are needed for our robust SCES PTA to continue. You don’t have to do it all, and there are plenty of returning members to guide you, and the outgoing volunteers are usually available to support your transition into the role as well!
The PTA organizes events:

- Poetry Night
- Math Night
- GeoBowl
- World Culture Day
- STEAM Fair
- Book Share
The PTA organizes the in-house Salamander Stride as our one fundraiser a year, keeping 100% of the profits!
Indoor recess games, outside soccer balls, affordable field trips, room parent coordination, T-shirts, safety signage, after-school activities, teacher appreciation, student advocacy, representation in the wider MCCPTA community…all happen because Sligo Creek has a PTA!

Support the SCES PTA While You Shop

Box Tops for Education
Our Box Tops clipping days are coming to and end as traditional Box Tops are being phased out of production. To participate in the new digital Box Tops program just download the Box Tops for Education app and scan your receipt after purchase to automatically capture qualifying Box Tops. If you use an online grocery delivery service like Instacart or Shipt, you can still earn money for Sligo Creek by simply forwarding the email receipt they send you to receipts@boxtopsforeducation.com.

- Download the BOX TOP$ for Education App
- Select Sligo Creek Elementary School (zip code 20910).
- Look for the BOX TOP$ logo when shopping.
- Scan your grocery receipts within 14 days of purchasing.

Mabel's Labels
If you find yourself needing some personalized name labels, please consider supporting this fundraiser, and the PTA will earn 20% from your purchase! Your labels will ship to your house for free. They're great for lunch boxes, backpacks, clothes, shoes -- you name it!
To purchase, go to campaigns.mabelslabels.com and search for "Sligo Creek ES PTA."
This fundraiser will run continuously, so it will be there whenever you have a labeling need.
Harris Teeter
Link your Harris Teeter Rewards card at Harris Teeter Together in Education to earn money for Sligo Creek Elementary School. Don't forget to re-link each year in August! You can link your VIC card on the Harris Teeter website or app, or simply ask a cashier to link your school at checkout using the school’s 4-digit code.
The Sligo Creek Elementary School code is: 2010
Learn more about Harris Teeter's Together in Education program, how to sign up for a VIC card, and how to add your school to your account. Or visit the Customer Service desk at your local Harris Teeter and they can link your card or phone number to Sligo Creek Elementary School (code 2010). Or call Harris Teeter customer service (1-800-432-6111) and request a customer service associate link your card with the phone number you used for the VIC card registration.
