Salamander Stride Fun Run

The Sligo Creek Elementary School PTA provides enrichment activities and covers charitable needs to all students at SCES. We also use the funds raised to support teachers and staff through mini-grants, staff reimbursements and appreciation activities. 

The PTA’s school-wide Salamander Stride fun run is our only fundraiser during the year and will cover the costs of all these activities. Find out more here.

Teachers, families and local businesses work together to accomplish these goals by:

• Supporting the Salamander Stride
• Saving and bringing in Box Tops for Education
• Grocery Cards

The Sligo Creek Educational Foundation

Is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization created in 2014 that raises resources to support Sligo Creek Elementary School and other local schools in need. SCEF focuses on programs and activities that do not fall within the expenditure guidelines of the PTA and are not included in the Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) spending plans. Specific projects funded include the Outdoor Classroom, Newspaper Club, STEM Club and a recess canopy.
