The PTA Needs You!
Many PTA Board positions are open for next year. Executive board positions have term limits, so new members are needed for our robust SCES PTA to continue. You don’t have to do it all, and there are plenty of returning members to guide you, and the outgoing volunteers are usually available to support your transition into the role as well!
The PTA organizes events:
- Welcome Back Social
- Scholastic Book Fair
- Poetry Night
- Math Night
- GeoBowl
- World Culture Day
- STEAM Fair
- Book Share
The PTA organizes the in-house Salamander Stride as our one fundraiser a year, keeping 100% of the profits!
Indoor recess games, outside soccer balls, affordable field trips, room parent coordination, T-shirts, safety signage, after-school activities, teacher appreciation, student advocacy, representation in the wider MCCPTA community…all happen because Sligo Creek has a PTA!

Your student will have their own fundraising page that you are encouraged to personalize and then share with family and friends!

Click your student’s personal page link.
2. Tell the world
Quickly Share Your Student’s Fundraising Page
Share on Facebook or Twitter or send an email to family and friends from your student’s Fundraising Page!
Reach your goal early? Why not raise it!
If your student quickly reaches the initial goal, consider upping the goal on their page. That way new visitors will still be encouraged to donate, and we will have the best shot at achieving our group goal.
3. IF YOU ARE CURIOUS…
You can choose to receive an email when donations are made on your student’s page. You can also go to your student’s page for updates.
Your student’s fundraising webpage is private and secure!
Their fundraising page can only be accessed by the people to whom you send direct links.
All donors receive a receipt, along with an email thanking them for their donation and itemizing the donation on their receipt.
