The PTA Needs You!
Many PTA Board positions are open for next year. Executive board positions have term limits, so new members are needed for our robust SCES PTA to continue. You don’t have to do it all, and there are plenty of returning members to guide you, and the outgoing volunteers are usually available to support your transition into the role as well!
The PTA organizes events:
- Welcome Back Social
- Scholastic Book Fair
- Poetry Night
- Math Night
- GeoBowl
- World Culture Day
- STEAM Fair
- Book Share
The PTA organizes the in-house Salamander Stride as our one fundraiser a year, keeping 100% of the profits!
Indoor recess games, outside soccer balls, affordable field trips, room parent coordination, T-shirts, safety signage, after-school activities, teacher appreciation, student advocacy, representation in the wider MCCPTA community…all happen because Sligo Creek has a PTA!

The Staff Gift Fund for the 2018-2019 school year is closed. Thanks to your generosity we raised $3,591 dollars.
Winter break is quickly approaching and before we know it, the new year will be here.
The amount of time and resources our school families donate all year long is put simply, incredible. We know you have a lot of demands on both, but your generosity is unwavering. Thank you all.
But before the year ends, we have one more favor to ask. With only 2 days left until winter break, we are only halfway to our fundraising goal for the Staff Gift Fund. Can you help us to make our goal of $4,000-5,000?
What is the Staff Gift Fund? The gift fund provides the teachers and staff with one large gift of their choosing as well as $25.00 gift cards of their choice. The Staff Gift Fund benefits the entire school, allowing us to recognize not only the teachers but the administrators, specials instructors, school nurses, paraeducators and building maintenance staff who ALL do a lot for our children.
How can you contribute?

(2): Make a check payable to the SCESPTA and send it in with your child. Please be sure to label the envelope PTA Staff Gift Fund.
