Mobile Science Lab

Because of the pandemic, there will be no Mobile Science Lab activities in the Fall of 2020. Activities for Spring 2021 have not been determined yet.

Each Fall and Spring the PTA sponsors interactive science activities with the Mobile Science Lab. The Mobile Science Lab is run by the Maryland Agricultural Education Foundation.

The Mobile Science Lab is a field trip on school grounds! Lessons and activities engage students in hands-on investigations around particular themes, and experiments help students make the connection between science and their world. Each lesson follows the scientific method, and investigations are designed to be integrated into the MCPS curriculum. Help your child's class explore the properties of candies, the DNA of a strawberry or how IPM (Integrated Pest Management) helps the environment!

We need you! Each class needs one parent chaperone. If time permits, please consider signing up as a chaperone during your child's class slot and the slot before or after their class.
