Holiday Staff Gift Fund

Each one of our wonderful staff received a $25 gift card today in their mailboxes this afternoon. An email went out to all of them letting them know that the gift cards were a product of many contributions from Sligo Creek families. They were MUCH appreciated so thank you for making that possible!
Now is the time to make a tax deductible contribution to the fund! **Please note that in order to pay online/by credit card, you will need to sign in/create an account (takes two minutes and will allow you to access the online directory, donate to the salamander stride, purchase spirit wear, etc.)
Wondering how to honor all those wonderful staff members that interact with your child on a daily basis this holiday season? The PTA has the perfect idea: collect money for a general gift fund and let the staff spend it!
Staff Gift Fund buys gifts that individuals (or even entire classrooms) could not afford. Each year, we collect approximately $4,000.00- $5,000.00, which provides the teachers and staff with one major gift of their choosing (staff wishes have included: photocopier, end of the year party, and water service & coffee for teacher’s lounge). Each individual staff member also receives a $25.00 gift card of their choice.
Staff Gift Fund shares the wealth across the entire school. Teachers, administrators, specials instructors, school nurses, para-educators, cafeteria workers, and building maintenance staff who ALL do a lot for our children day in and day out are recognized.
How do you contribute? Two ways. (1): You may visit www.scespta.org. You will need to sign in/create an account + pay with a credit card. You will receive a receipt for tax purposes. (2): Make a check payable to the SCESPTA and send it in with your child. Please be sure to label the envelope PTA Staff Gift Fund. **Note: the checks thus far have been gathered from the PTA mail box and will be given to the treasurer this week.
