SSIMS Track (The middle school track behind the school).

Get ready to show your Salamander Stride spirit! Dress up, get silly, and join the fun all week long!
🦎 Event Day Information
Grades go down to the SSIMS track one at a time. Each grade will walk down to the track from the playground, escorted by volunteers and their classroom teacher.
Classes will...
- Place water bottles at designated table
- Take a quick class picture
- Run, walk or jog for 15 minutes around the track
- Pick up their water bottles for a hydration break
When they're finished running, students return to the building, escorted by volunteers and their classroom teacher.
👟 What to Wear / Bring
Students should come to school in comfortable athletic clothes and sneakers and bring a full water bottle.

🙋 Volunteer Opportunities
There are plenty of ways to volunteer, both before the event and on Stride day.
- Sign up for a volunteer opportunity through SignUpGenius.
- Each classroom will also need volunteers during the event. Once we have the schedule by grade, we’ll reach out through room parents with more information about these opportunities.
- You do not need to be fingerprinted to volunteer at the Salamander Stride.
