10 Things To Do To Start The School Year Right

1. Join the SCES PTA Listserv. To subscribe, send an email with your full name, your child(ren)’s name(s) and grade(s) to sligocreek-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
2. Finish summer reading log and post cards, and summer math work.  This is also posted on the school's website.
3. Fund your child’s cafeteria lunch account by visiting www.myschoolbucks.com. 
4. Sign up for AlertMCPS for weather related delays and closings and other operational messages at www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/emergency/alertmcps.aspx.
5. Update/link your calendars with the SCES PTA and MCPS calendars.
6. Purchase back to school supplies and come meet your child(ren)’s new teacher(s) on Back to School Day. SY18-19 List Coming soon.
7. Attend the first PTA meeting! Check back for the date! 
8. Peruse your PTA WEBSITE - including online membership, the online store, and the new online directory. 
9. Add/Update directory information at the new PTA website. Please TAKE 1 MINUTE to create a login and add the information you’d like to include in the new online directory.
10. Join the SCES PTA for the new year in August 2018.
