The PTA Needs You!

Many PTA Board positions are open for next year. Executive board positions have term limits, so new members are needed for our robust SCES PTA to continue. You don’t have to do it all, and there are plenty of returning members to guide you, and the outgoing volunteers are usually available to support your transition into the role as well!

The PTA organizes the in-house Salamander Stride as our one fundraiser a year, keeping 100% of the profits!

Indoor recess games, outside soccer balls, affordable field trips, room parent coordination, T-shirts, safety signage, after-school activities, teacher appreciation, student advocacy, representation in the wider MCCPTA community…all happen because Sligo Creek has a PTA!

Final Lost & Found of the 2021-2022 School Year

The Lost & Found is outside under the breezeway at SCES from now until Friday around 4 PM. I added a few more photos of items with names on them, along with a video of the entire thing. Named items include:

a heavy coat for Atlas Scrivens, kindergartener (last year, I assume?)
a lightweight green REI coat for Wyatt Barbero
A bag of clothes including a complete outfit with shirt and pants labeled "Fox"
Water bottles for Alice Reeder, Cleo Campos, Nathan McDonald, Tharp, Nathaniel, Jackman (or maybe Jack Man?)

I tried to hang all items with zippers (coats, raincoats, light jackets) on the rack but ran out of space so a few lightweight hoodies with zippers are on the ground.

The piles on the ground are loosely grouped by size, with smallest being toward the left. There is one 2022 t-shirt that likely belongs to a recently-graduated 5th grader if anyone knows a 5th grade kiddo missing his or her class shirt.

There is a computer keyboard thing called "Fusion" with "Writing help" included on the keyboard. I put that inside in the PTA closet, if it's yours please let me know.

There are MANY water bottles.

These items will be donated on Friday after 4 PM. If you see something that belongs to you but can't make it to school in the next three days, let me know (president@scespta.org) and we can put it aside in the PTA closet and get it to you at a later date.
