Salamander Stride

If you haven't already marked your calendars, the Salamander Stride is THIS FRIDAY, October 21! But the race is already ON! Our overall goal is $30,000 and we have raised nearly $13,000 so far. Kindergarten is in the lead having brought in nearly $3,000 but 2nd Grade is right behind them! Please keep sharing your student's fundraising page if you can, and help to propel their class to the front of the pack!

How can I make a pledge?

It’s easy to set up a pledge page or make a donation through the PTA website, just sign into the PTA website and look for the link under My Account to set up your child's page (and remember to update their grade/join the PTA while you are there). You can also record cash/check donations made out to SCES PTA.

Will all kids participate?

Yes. This is a school-wide event and every student who is able to stride, roll, walk, or run in the Salamander Stride is encouraged to participate. We know there may be some children whose families and friends are not able to pledge money for the Salamander Stride, and that’s OK — everyone participates in the way they are able.

Find further information, pledge, and find links to volunteer HERE!

Holiday Giving Project

Ms. Vendemia (Ms. V) and Ms. Wattiez (Ms. W), SCES’s Professional School Counselors, are rereferring families who would like to be included in the Holiday Giving Project.

The Holiday Giving Project has provided Thanksgiving and December holiday assistance to families in need for over 30 years. A network of social workers, school counselors, and human service professionals refer families in need of assistance. Local non-profits, faith-based organizations, and public agencies serve Holiday Giving recipients, as donations are available. If you and your family are in need and would like to be referred for possible assistance for the holiday season, please complete this referral form to provide the required information. Resources are limited: please apply only if you and your family are truly in need. While a referral is not a guarantee of assistance, the Project helps as many families in need as donations allow.

Last day to submit for Thanksgiving: October 25th

Last day to submit for December: November 11th

Hard copies of this form in English and Spanish can be found in the main office
