In Person PTA Meeting at 7pm in Media Center

Please join us for an in-person* PTA Meeting this Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 7 PM in the SCES Media Center

We'll hear about some essential steps MCPS and Sligo Creek Elementary School are taking to build strong communities and leaders within our schools.

We'll talk with Ms. Nesmith, Dr. Harris and colleagues who work on the MCPS Restorative Justice (RJ) team. We'll also hear from Ms. Vendemia and Mrs. Wattiez. Those of you who attended our first in-person meeting back in October may recall this dynamic team we're fortunate to have as our school counselors! Ms. V and Mrs. W will share some of the RJ principals and leadership opportunities lifting up and supporting our SCES students.

We'll also discuss the future leadership of the PTA, looking ahead to positions opening up on next year's board and beyond. An overall theme of building and nurturing our dynamic school community--can't wait for you to join us!

*KidsCo will provide child care from 6:45 PM - 8:45 PM for the school-aged children of those attending the meeting.
