Please subscribe directly under your profile on the PTA website and encourage all SCES families to sign up. If you have questions, contact communications@scespta.org.

MCPS Virtual vs In-Person Parent Choice Survey

Be sure to complete the Montgomery County Board of Education survey to indicate if you'd prefer for your child to remain exclusively in a virtual learning environment or engage in a combination of in-person and virtual instruction once it is deemed safe to do so. The survey closes this Thursday, December 3.

Any family that does not make a selection will automatically default to the virtual-only experience.

Family Needs Survey

This has been an especially challenging year for many families in our community. Please fill out the survey below indicating any items your children need right now. Your responses will be kept 100% confidential and will go straight to Ms. Hegerich, our School Counselor.

The PTA has funds dedicated specifically for this purpose. Please let Ms. Hegerich know what would be helpful to your family. This survey will remain open as long as needed.

SCES Staff Giving Tree

The Giving Tree is an evolving wish list of items requested by SCES staff to help them succeed during this season of virtual learning.

From a wireless mouse to a desk chair, you've been incredibly generous in granting more than 50 wishes to our teachers over the past few weeks!

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We have over 60 items left on the Giving Tree, so if you're able, please take a moment to select an item and have it delivered to your teacher or another SCES staff member. If possible, it's best to coordinate delivery directly with the teacher who requested the wish list item, although deliveries can be made to school as well.

Where are the Report Cards?

Locating your child's report card on ParentVUE is a bit of a puzzle.

We don't pretend to understand the mysterious ways in which ParentVUE works, but we can tell you this much...you won't find report cards under the "Report Card" menu option.

Look under "Documents" on the left side; it's the very last menu item with a little chart icon next to it. You should see a link there titled "20-21 MP1 Report Card" that will take you to your child's report card for the first quarter.

We made it just over halfway to our goal of $30,000, with $15,949 in donations as of Nov. 30. Thank you! If you or your friends and family would still like to donate, the forms are open until Dec. 31.
