SCES is hosting our first science fair on May 26.
The STEAM Science Fair will feature vendors and presenters representing the sciences, technology, engineering, arts, and math fields.

Student Participation:
We invite students in Grades K-3 to show off their STEAM skills! (The fair is for the entire school but the contest is for K-3 to give these grades an opportunity to engage in a themed competition, since they weren’t part of the World Culture Day 4-5th grade poster contest.)
WHAT: Create a flyer or shoebox science display (be sure to include your name, grade, and homeroom teacher in an easy-to-read place on your flyer or shoebox)
GRADE-SPECIFIC THEMES AND ACTIVITIES:
Each grade-level entry should follow the guidance below:
Kindergarten: Make a drawing of your dream LEGO creation
1st Grade: Make a drawing that is land/earth-themed
2nd Grade: Create a water-themed display in a shoebox*
3rd Grade: Create an air-themed display in a shoebox*
*or a small box of comparable size
DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES:Friday, May 20
WHERE TO SUBMIT YOUR SCIENCE SHOEBOX: Drop off your submissions in the box at the Main office by or before Friday, May 20 @ 3 pm.
PRIZES: Photos of all entries will be featured in the PTA Post Newsletter. The top grade-level winners will be announced during morning announcements during the week of May 23 and receive a prize.
