Send a note of thanks and appreciation.


Tuesday, May 4th  

Our PTA will provide a tasty staff lunch.


Wednesday, May 5th  

Send love to our specials teachers: take a photo doing art, music, athletics and email it to SCES specials teachers.


Thursday, May 6th  

Restock the staff lounge with some delicious treats! Drop off at the car circle on Thursday morning at 9 AM. Around 25 families have signed up to bring in items--let's add a few more and really treat our staff right during this extraordinary year!

Thanks a bunch! Bring in a flower (store-bought or from your garden) for your teacher or another staff member, or draw a flower and send a virtual bouquet.

The PTA needs a few new Board Members and Committee Chairs for the 2021-2022 school year.

Photos from 5th Graders

It's the final countdown! There's one week remaining to send us your 5th graders' photos for their memory book. 

We don't need a fancy or professional photo of your student, just a decently up-close photo taken within the past year. Phone pics are fine! Even a decent selfie would do.  

Along with the photo, please include your student's first and last name and their classroom teacher's name.

SCES World Culture Day is June 4

World Culture Day will take place via Zoom on Friday, June 4th from 2:00-2:45 PM.  

Our ambassadors (you!) will bring different countries and cultures into the Zoom classroom to share 5-10 minute long presentations.  We have 6 or 7 presenters signed up; THANK YOU! We also need assistants to manage chat features and support the presenters.  

The final day to sign up to present is tomorrow, Tuesday,May 4.

Through Coca-Cola Give, you can support SCES by donating your codes. SCES can use donated funds for extra-curricular activities including sports, technology, art and/or school supplies within our school. Search for Sligo Creek Elementary School at https://us.coca-cola.com/give/schools/. Scan code from your phone or enter code manually.  


Harris Teeter  

Let the cashier know during check-out that you’d like to link SCES's account number (# 2010) to your Harris Teeter VIC card OR visit www.harristeeter.com to link your VIC card online. Once the account number (2010) is linked, every time you shop 5% of your Harris Teeter brand purchases will be contributed to our PTA.
