SCES is Participating in Walk to School Day Again! Want to help give a bus rider the chance to walk? Reach out to one of your child’s friends who rides the bus — details below.

Be sure to stop by the CANOPY ENTRANCE on your way in on Wednesday, October 4th for a special sticker and a healthy treat. 

If you already bike or walk to school, consider inviting a bus rider to meet at your house to walk with you — maybe the parents can drop to your house early, or you can pick the child up, or maybe even arrange a special week-night sleepover.

If you can't walk to school, here are some ideas for participating:

1) Ask friend who walks if they’ll bring your child in.

2) Park a few blocks from school and walk from there.

3) Talk to the parents from your bus stop to arrange a carpool so that several bus riders can park near the school and walk.

Bike & Walk to School Day began in 1997. In recent years, more that 4,000 schools walked (across America and in more than 40 countries worldwide).
